Vancouver, BC—Friday, July 11th, 2003—SWIVEL has again improved upon essential web site services, taking its domain name registrations to a new level. Competitive pricing — at lower than half the rate for the same service with Network Solutions — is driving customers to register with SWIVEL.

As stated in an April announcement of the new International web site, new products and services complementing core competencies are now rolling out at SWIVEL with increased frequency. SWIVEL today announced the unveiling of a new domain registration site, designed to draw new customers to hosting and design services, and to provide existing customers with an improved domain name management system. Reduced pricing has already drawn a number of customers to the system, at just under $13US per year while previously SWIVEL customers paid $20US.

"Our goal — however reasonable our prices — is never to provide a cheap service, but to provide great services which our customers can trust are reliable." Says Mike Chalmers, SWIVEL president. "To define reliability, I would give the example of SWIVEL-configured, Linux-based web servers, reaching 300-700 plus days — and counting — without incident of crashing. That is what we strive to provide our customers with. It is not to say we've never had crashes, but is rather to show what we've accomplished with the standards we set."

"There are others who have cornered the market on 'cheap' services, but 'cheap' is not at all what SWIVEL customers are looking for." asserts Chalmers. "That said, we set our fees at price points we know are reasonable to the customer, AND will keep us profitable enough to remain stable and reliable long into the future."

When speaking of competitors, Chalmers speaks of Network Solutions Inc., who has for many years charged "$30-$35 per annum for domain solutions, despite the declining cost of technologies required for the domain registry process." While Chalmers and company don't target the 'cheap' market, SWIVEL does make an effort to pass savings on to customers where technology allows.
