VEPVPA - Promoting, protecting and advocating...
By Aaron Rowe
We're speaking of course about our principals and vice principals. However we may have encountered them, their role has been as educator, manager, peace keeper and advocate for children. Swivel customer Vancouver Elementary Principals' and Vice Principals' Association (VEPVPA), represents over 130 members, since 1929.
The services a Principal and Vice Principal provide are vital to the culture and well being of our schools. After class hours are over and students have gone home, countless hours are spent managing a system that looks to equip children with what they will need to be an effective member of our society.
As an association, VEPVPA provides professional development opportunities to its members. Principals and Vice Principals work together to secure up-to-date knowledge on the latest in educational theory and practice. The group promotes member welfare and is there to encourage members throughout the rigors of their job. VEPVPA social gatherings enable colleagues to look to each other for support as they share stories about their roles as administrators. What VEPVPA does for its members demonstrates how the association seeks to establish a healthy culture amongst educational administrators so that the children in our schools benefit the most.
The success of students is in part the end result of all members who participate in making VEPVPA a success. Swivel is pleased to provide VEPVPA with web hosting services as well as web forums, online photo galleries and streaming video.
See www.vepvpa.ca to learn more about VEPVPA and their role in the education of and advocacy for students in Vancouver, British Columbia.
